Prequel to The Witcher
‘Blood Origin’ is a live-action spinoff series from Netflix’s hit original series, “The Witcher.” It will be set 1200 years before the main series. The show will focus on a prehistoric civilization in the elven world. It will also explore how the first prototype Witcher came to be. The show is set to release in December 2022.

Aside from Michelle Yeoh, the casting list also includes Lenny Henry, Mirren Mack, and Zach Wyatt. Laurence O’Fuarain will also be involved, playing Fjall Stoneheart.
The Witcher: Blood Origin is based on books by author Andrzej Sapkowski. He served as a creative consultant for the show. Several episodes were written by Declan de Barra, including the Season 2 premiere and the fourth episode. He also performed the vocals for several songs from the first season of the show.
