Story

Asur’s first season left many viewers wanting more. A wonderful blend of mythology and forensic science coupled with an intriguing thriller plot left viewers on edge for every episode – however the second season fell far short of expectations.
Asur Season 2 follows two forensic experts, Nikhil and Dhananjay or DJ, both deeply affected by past experiences – Nikhil grieving over her daughter’s death while DJ mourns over lost wives and is haunted by his past. While both experts work on cases related to serial killing, their approaches differ dramatically: DJ is taking drastic measures against serial killers while Nikhil works within system with covert teams.
What sets Asur apart from other shows in its genre is its non-idealistic depiction of characters; instead it considers them part of its main plot and uses creative solutions like showing chemical reactions during murders, using dialogue to show moral right and wrong in situations, etc. Asur offers viewers something truly original!
This season is quite engaging as its storyline deepens and expands, exploring various parts of human psyche. Additionally, this Indian television show stands out by using technology as an equaliser when discussing mythology; an impressive feat!

This crime thriller centers around Nikhil Nair (Barun Sobti) and Dhananjay Rajpoot (Arshad Warsi), two forensic experts pursuing serial killer who preys upon non-secular beliefs. Though engaging, its plot has its issues: one-note storytelling can sometimes become too much.
Asur isn’t perfect, however. Visual effects used too frequently throughout can make the series seem less authentic; characters don’t receive enough focus – most are only seen as parts of Shubh’s game which may be off-putting; nonetheless, this doesn’t derail its overall experience; Asur should still be watched for fans of horror genre.
